NEW PORT: Topfield PVR Version
The Lords of Midnight is a classic game originally written by Mike Singleton for the Sinclair ZX Spectrum. This version, written in Java, recreates faithfully the look and feel of the original 8-bit epic game, allowing you to visit once again the land of Midnight and rally the Free and the Fey against the evil Witchking, Doomdark.
The Lords of Midnight is not a standard adventure game, nor is it a standard war game; it is what was termed an epic game. In the game, you guide characters on vital quests but will also command armies that must endeavour to hold back Doomdark's legions.
More information is available in the game manual, which has been reproduced on Chris Wild's site.

Lords of Midnight is © 1984 Mike Singleton. This port is ©

The images, data, and game logic have been
shamelessly stolen from the original ZX Spectrum version.
You may not
run this port on a handheld device such as a PDA or mobile telephone; nor
may you decompile, disassemble, reverse-engineer or use any part of the
source code for such a purpose. Sorry, but that's the rules.
It is possible to run Java on a wide variety of machines and emulated environments. I cannot guarantee that this game will perform well on all of them.
